Busy busy bumble!

Ever feel like you need a weekend to recover your weekend? It's now midway through the school holidays and in theory, I should be laxing back, planning lessons and generally pampering myself. In reality, I feel like I've barely had a moment to myself over the last four days :D Things are probably feeling worse because last week was a break week from my pill (I take it continuously for 18 weeks and have one week off) which always makes me feel like the Michelin Man and a she-beast combined with a slug. Still I fought through and came out a winner... I think.

List of things I achieved in the the last four days:
Lunch with the lovely Corinne of Frock and Roll
Shopping for professional clothes (me) and a party frock (littlest sister)
Grocery shopping
Bridal & bridesmaid dress shopping in the Newmarket precinct
Saw Date Night at the movies with my lovely SB
Set up & participated in Littlest Sister's 21st party - now my parents officially have ALL adult children
TWO bridal shows - bad planning to have both major Auckland bridal shows on the same day
Doubled my money at the casino (with the grand initial bid of $5, hey big spender)

And no no no, the bridal appointments were not for me - hold your congratulations for now LOL. My ChCh sister was up for Littlest Sister's birthday and so we were doing some research while she was up here. I won't say that I didn't get a few ideas... but in the ether they will stay for now. I'm looking forward to curling up with SB tonight and just relaxing completely!

Have you been busy lately Scribblettes? What have you been up to?

  2. All those things sound exhausting, except for the party. Parties are always fun.

I've been shopping for professional clothing as well, it's a pain in the butt!

  4. Ooh shopping for bridal stuff is fun, though probably stressful too.

Hehe you big spender. We always visit the casino when we go to AUckland. I tend to stop when I'm ahead but the hubby likes to keep going, then he steals my coins!
